Sandblasting

Sandblasting is a proven engraving process that has been in use for over a century. The experience paveLok brings to the table is based on 3 generations of sandblasting glass (Copley Glass) which has been applied to sandblasting engraved bricks, granite and other materials for the past 25 years.

The sandblasting process engraves into the chosen material ensuring its longevity. It gives a three-dimensional look to the letters, not just a shallow flat-looking surface treatment like lasers. We are not trying to change the molecular structure of the brick (like lasers), but are working with the existing material. This allows for the engravings to endure the weather conditions even in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York State, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. When you sandblast you get a classic etched look which can be adapted to fit your needs.

Our techniques allow for clean and crisp text engraving and the engraving of custom artwork such as logos or symbols that you may wish to offer to your donors. In addition, you are not locked into a few brick types, but can pick what you want almost without restrictions. In fact, we will gladly allow for you to provide your own pavers for us to work on.

Customer Supplied Pavers
For pavers, we also apply a patented Lithochrome coating (most commonly Black) inside the lettering/logos to enhance the legibility of the engravings. We then apply a clear coat over the black to add to its durability and longevity. The Lithochrome has been used in the Monument industry for decades and is available in a variety of colors for custom applications.

With our sandblasting products you can be assured that your donors will be represented with quality, beauty, and permanence. We offer a wide variety of materials, exceptional campaign support, and the highest level of customer service.
